Overview
This is a late production 1978 Rolex GMT Master reference 1675, one of the final examples manufactured before the model was discontinued in 1979. The watch is a very honest vintage piece with excellent originality and consistent aging throughout.

Movement and Service
The watch was fully serviced in 2026. The movement was completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, reassembled and properly regulated. It is currently running perfectly and ready to wear.

Dial and Hands
The matte black dial is original and untouched. It shows a beautiful heavy patina, and the tritium markers have aged evenly. The original hands are still present and the color matches the dial perfectly, which is very desirable for collectors.

Crystal
The original acrylic crystal remains on the watch. Instead of replacing it, we preserved it and restored clarity by carefully polishing it, maintaining full originality.

Bezel Insert
The original “Red back”red and blue Pepsi bezel insert is period correct and appropriate for this watch.

Case Condition
The case is thick with strong lugs and well defined edges. We did not polish the case. It appears to have had only very light polishing in the distant past, but it still retains excellent proportions.

Bracelet
The original Oyster bracelet is correct to the period and includes the correct end links and full links. It will fit a little over an 8 inch wrist. The clasp code is VD dating to 1979, which is perfectly correct for a late 1978 watch. All spring bars are also original.

What Is Included
The watch comes with the original Rolex box and the 2026 service documentation.

Collector Notes
This is essentially one of the last generation GMT Master 1675 watches produced before Rolex transitioned to the next reference. It is a very attractive collector example combining originality, matching patina and a fresh mechanical service.
