  • 1989 Rolex Daytona 16523 Steel & Gold 4 line diamond dial

This Rolex Cosmograph Daytona reference 16523 is an early and highly desirable example of the iconic two-tone Zenith-era Daytona. Produced during the first generation of automatic Daytonas, this model houses the legendary Zenith El Primero–based movement, which Rolex modified extensively to meet its own rigorous standards. Collectors prize these early 16523 models for their build quality, distinct details, and historical significance as the first automatic Daytonas after decades of manual-wind production.

This particular watch features the coveted four-line dial configuration, an early and less common layout compared to later five-line versions. Even more impressive is its factory diamond dial, adding a luxurious touch to the sporty Daytona design. The dial is in absolutely mint condition, with all diamond hour markers perfectly set, crisp printing, and a flawless surface.

The case and bracelet are also in excellent condition, showing no signs of wear. The 18-carat gold components display a beautiful, rich patina that only develops naturally over time, giving the watch a warm and elegant character. The steel and gold Oyster bracelet retains its full set of links, perfectly matching the watch both in fit, date and patina.

The watch has been fully serviced by us, ensuring precise timekeeping and smooth chronograph operation. It is powered by the renowned Zenith-based Caliber 4030, a movement celebrated for its reliability, performance, and place in Daytona history. Rolex made significant modifications to the Zenith El Primero base, including reducing the beat rate and improving the escapement, making the 16523 both historically important and mechanically outstanding.

Included with the watch are its original Rolex presentation box, original green leather wallet, original Daytona manual, and original tag, making this a particularly attractive example for collectors and enthusiasts.

My thoughts on this piece are that it embodies a perfect balance of sportiness, luxury, and history. The combination of the early four-line Zenith-era configuration, factory diamond dial, and beautifully aged gold gives it tremendous character. These early two-tone Zenith Daytonas have become increasingly sought after in recent years, especially in such mint condition with untouched dials and full bracelets. This is a truly special example of one of Rolex’s most iconic chronographs, offering both collectability and everyday wearability in one timeless package.

  • 1972 Coca-Cola Rolex Oyster Perpetual Ref. 1002 14K Gold 25 Year Service Award Full Set

Some watches are collectible because they are rare. Others become legendary because of the story attached to them. This 1972 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Ref. 1002 in solid 14K gold offers both.

In 1972, The Coca-Cola Company commissioned a limited number of Rolex watches as employee service awards to honor individuals who dedicated 25 years of service to the company. This example was awarded to David M. Leister Jr. on August 15, 1972, beautifully engraved on the original case back:

    “25 Years Service

    The Coca-Cola Company

    David M. Leister Jr.

    August 15, 1972”

What makes this particular example so special is its condition. The case remains completely unpolished, with sharp factory edges still fully intact. Over time, the 14K gold case has developed a beautiful natural patina that gives the watch warmth and character that cannot be recreated.

The silver dial is exceptionally clean and highly attractive, featuring a unique detail collectors will appreciate: the applied gold hour markers feature black tops, creating incredible contrast and giving the dial a much more distinctive appearance than standard examples. Combined with the clean original hands, the watch has a very elegant and uncommon look.

Everything on this watch remains original, including the original acrylic crystal. We only lightly polished the crystal using the Milano Straps acrylic crystal polishing kit to remove minor surface scratches while preserving originality.

The watch has been serviced by our watchmaker and is running exactly as it should.

It comes fitted on a premium leather strap from Milano Straps and includes its original Rolex gold buckle that originally came with the watch.

This is a true full set and includes:

    • Original inner Rolex box
    • Original outer box
    • Outer box with matching employee name sticker
    • Original green serial hang tag
    • Original red chronometer hang tag
    • Double punched papers
    • Rolex translation booklet

This watch appears to have spent most of its life tucked away as a true safe queen, and it shows. Examples of Coca-Cola service award Rolex watches do appear occasionally, but finding one this complete, this original, and in this level of preservation is exceptionally rare.

This is likely one of the cleanest Coca-Cola presentation Rolex watches to ever come to market.

  • 1976 Rolex Cellini King Midas 4316 Pyramid Gold Dial Unpolished Mint Condition

This is a truly exceptional example of the 1976 Rolex Cellini King Midas reference 4316, one of the most historically significant and striking designs ever produced by Rolex. The King Midas line first appeared in 1962 and was aptly named after the mythological Greek king whose touch turned everything to gold. Conceived by the legendary Gérald Genta before his iconic work on the Royal Oak and Nautilus, the King Midas was inspired by the ancient Greek Pantheon, the temple of the gods. The result was a watch unlike anything else Rolex had ever produced: architectural, bold, and unapologetically luxurious.

Crafted entirely from solid 18k gold, the King Midas was the heaviest gold watch of its era and also the most expensive Rolex model of its time, costing roughly 40% more than a Day-Date. Its unique design and hefty price tag attracted an exclusive clientele, including celebrities, artists, and collectors who appreciated its daring style and rarity. It was a watch made not for the masses, but for those who wanted something extraordinary.

This particular example stands out for its unpolished case, which remains in excellent condition and is full of beautiful, natural gold patina. The sharp edges and original finish have been perfectly preserved, showing only minimal signs of age without any heavy wear or refinishing. The original integrated bracelet is in mint condition and fits up to a 7-inch wrist, maintaining its crisp structure and luxurious feel. All numbers and hallmarks are fully visible.

The original gold pyramid dial is a masterpiece in itself, giving the watch a strong visual identity and depth. It remains in beautiful condition, free of any scratches or notable wear, and is complemented by the original crystal. The movement is original and has been recently serviced by us, ensuring excellent performance and reliability for years to come.

What truly elevates this piece is the inclusion of its original King Midas presentation box, an item that is extraordinarily rare to find today. These round Greek-inspired boxes are highly collectible on their own. This example still retains its original interior, which shows only minimal wear, though the original stand is missing. The exterior of the box shows tape marks from the previous owner, who had preserved it by sealing it with tape over the years. Once removed, the tape left a distinctive pattern across the outside surface, giving it a unique character and sense of history.

Finding a King Midas 4316 with its original box in this kind of unpolished, well-preserved condition is extremely uncommon. This watch embodies everything that makes the King Midas line so special: bold design, precious materials, rich mythology, and true rarity.

My thoughts on this piece are that it represents a golden era of Rolex creativity. It is not just a watch but a piece of design history, a wearable sculpture that tells the story of when Rolex broke away from convention to create something avant-garde and unforgettable. For serious collectors and enthusiasts, this is an extraordinary opportunity to own a genuine icon in superb condition with its rare original box and freshly serviced movement.
