About The Watch
About the watch:EL PRIMERO TV CASE is the legendary Movado El Primero Big Blue chronograph REF #: 01.0200.415. This watch was produced from 1973-77 and was considered to be the flagship of the line. It is powered by the legendary 3019PHC El Primero movement by Zenith. Only 2000 were produced. If you’ve never handled one of these before, it has the highest build quality, with a complex and very attractive tv case, a heavy link bracelet made by Chatelain and a gorgeous shimmering blue dial. This watch is substantial and just exudes quality. This example runs great, has a long bracelet and is ready for your collection.
Case and band: 40mm STAINLESS case in nice unpolished condition. This watch shows some signs of careful usage and is extremely fun to wear. The chronograph pushers are actuated by a rocker bar that pivots in the center. Extremely unique. The mineral glass crystal is an NOS replacement. The Chatelain bracelet is tight, will easily fit a 7.5 inch wrist and provides a perfect amount of counterweight to make this watch comfortable to wear.
Dial and hands: The original shimmering blue dial features silver framed square subdials and a date wheel with a blue background at 4:00. The stick hands are original and in great shape. The chapter ring has a tachymeter and applied baton markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9. It is nice and blue, with very little fade. This one is marked “Movado,” which identifies it as a US-bound example. Zenith versions were sold in the rest of the world and not in the US, due to possible confusion with the television company.
